That's right---you---an ordinary person, can make a difference. All you have to do is recruit your friends, school or members of your club or association to commit to an extraordinary goal---to make sure that the Red Cross can respond to disasters in your community, and to help make sure your neighbors can prevent and prepare for emergencies.

It's simple. Just hold an event for the Red Cross (it could be anything-we have ideas for you too), raise funds for your community and know that you made a difference!

Local individuals and organizations in Kenosha, Racine and Waukesha County have become Heroes for the American Red Cross. Their generosity and willingness to help ensures that the Red Cross can take care of residents in southeastern Wisconsin, by providing shelter, food and other emergency services to those in need.

They raise the money through their company, organization or give individual donations, through any legal means they choose, with the support of their employees and vendors.
